Privacy Policy

Stoneladder is a climbing journal that runs entirely on your device. This policy is short because the app does very little with data: it doesn't send any of it anywhere.

What We Collect

Nothing. Stoneladder has no account system, no analytics, no crash-reporting service, no advertising SDK, and no network layer of any kind. The app does not know who you are, and we — the developer — never receive any information about your device, your climbing history, or your use of the app.

Everything you enter — sessions, climbs, grades, projects, locations, notes, and your settings — is stored only in a local database on your device.

Data That Leaves Your Device

Only when you choose to send it, and never automatically:

• Export / Share — the CSV export and backup-file export features use your device's native share sheet. Where that data goes after you share it (email, cloud storage, a messaging app) is entirely up to you and is governed by that destination's own privacy policy, not ours.
• Device backup — if you have iCloud Backup (iOS) or Google account/device backup (Android) enabled at the operating-system level, Stoneladder's local data is included in that backup the same way any other app's local data would be. This is Apple's or Google's backup system, not a feature of Stoneladder, and it is entirely controlled by your OS-level backup settings.
• Support contact (optional) — if you choose to email us for support, we receive whatever you include in that message (e.g. your email address and whatever you write). This only happens if you initiate contact.

What We Don't Do

• We don't collect account identifiers, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers.
• We don't use analytics or telemetry of any kind.
• We don't show ads or use any ad SDK.
• We don't share, sell, or transmit your data to any third party, because we never receive it in the first place.

Deleting Your Data

Settings → Delete All My Data erases everything instantly and locally — no account, no network request, no waiting period. Uninstalling the app has the same effect, since no copy of your data exists anywhere outside your device.

Children's Privacy

Stoneladder is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
